ROLE PURPOSE:
The Payroll Operations Analyst is responsible for identifying areas of opportunity to improve and streamline operations; HR Master Data interface to ADP; SAP to ADP Pay Data interface; Zendesk service desk tickets; multiple audits; bank deposit rejection notifications; and execute various payroll processes or analyses as directed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Effective organization and planning skills.
Must be detailed oriented.
Commitment to customer service and ability to work in team-oriented environment.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, prioritization and communication skills.
Research and manage all cases sent to client's ADP Payroll Operations.
Analyze payroll inconsistencies to determine root cause and solutions.
Work with cross functional counterparts to understand and resolve issues.
Provide payroll operational subject matter expertise to resolve employee issues.
Proactively communicate and collaborate with process partners and/or other points of escalation to provide research and information to resolve an issue.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Meet payroll operational benchmarks and deadlines.
Ensure legislative or contractual payroll compliance.
Work with Time & Attendance Operations and other teams to meet payroll processing deadlines.
Provide timely support and respond to questions from other departments.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience; Certified Payroll Professional designation a plus.
3-5 years' experience within payroll departments in providing support for payroll, internal/external audits, issue resolution, and research of payroll items in general.
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:
Understanding of payroll practices
Specialized knowledge of payroll reporting, principles, practices, and procedures
Strong interpersonal, analytical, prioritization and communication skills
Commitment to customer service and ability to work in team-oriented environment
Knowledge of FLSA and Wage & Hour laws
Work well in a team environment
Must be detailed oriented
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Able to maintain confidential information
Strong excel skills
SPECIAL COMMENTS:
For this role we are looking for somebody that is a team player. Someone that has payroll experience, and Production Payroll. Not payroll tax, not HR. Definitely somebody who's had hands on Payroll experience.
Strong interpersonal skills, Analytic skills with huge attention to detail - extremely important. Very team oriented because we're an extremely close-knit team so that's important to us. Its important to provide great customer service skills. Someone who will find solutions that will get us to the next level. Organizational skills. Time management is important. And in our current environment the ability to work on their own.
Excel skills are also extremely important, we do a lot of processes that we use Excel for. We're looking for someone to help streamline those processes and improve them. We know there's a lot of Excel skills that can help in doing that. We're looking for someone that has those next level skills.
Top Skills:
Past Payroll experience.
Certainly, anybody that has ADP experience and SAP experience is a nice to have.
