We are constantly growing with top talented entertainers as our clients and have recently doubled in company size. For this reason, we are looking for an extraordinary detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Nashville.
The Accounts Payable Specialist will need a strong understanding of accounting policies and procedures and would be reporting up to the Senior Accountant. In addition, this individual will:
Process vendor invoices for Tri Star and other Tri Star related entity expenses. This includes reconciliation and auditing of invoices to ensure accuracy and proper accounting procedures are followed.
Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval for payment.
Manage all accounts payable invoices and accounts through QuickBooks.
Prepare invoices for payment in accordance with the company bill cycles.
Daily analyze and classify credit Card charges including ensuring proper documentation and approval attached.
Maintain vendor data, accounts payable reports and corporate accounts payable files. This includes copying and scanning of all relevant documents.
Prepare weekly travel cash requests.
Process approved employee expense reports for payment.
Set up vendor and employee reimbursement ACH/Wires for payment.
Communicate with Tri Star staff, vendors, clients and other parties in a courteous and professional manner.
Respond to and resolve vendor related issues in a timely manner.
Prepare monthly petty cash reconciliation and cash request.
Assist with annual 1099 reporting.
Assist corporate finance department with special projects and other day-to-day tasks as needed.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
2+ years of relevant AP experience and/or general bookkeeping experience.
Experience using QuickBooks and Excel required.
AA or BS in Accounting, Finance, or related highly preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact across the organization.
Extremely detail-oriented to create accurate and timely reports.
Strong work ethic with a positive attitude & a fit with the company's culture & values.
