POSITION DETAILS:
Transparent Agency is an entertainment company that encompasses four music labels, artist management, music publishing, and live event production. The company focuses on servicing global artists and bridging the gap between Asia and the United States.
Transparent Agency is currently seeking an experienced Merchandise Manager responsible for
interfacing directly with Transparent Agency's artists and their teams, the label and brands to design and deliver a wide range of merchandise. In joining the team, the ideal candidate will identify and facilitate the development of potential products, conduct market research, determine specifications, production timetables, pricing and time-integrated plans for product introduction, create marketing strategies around each product launch, as well as keeping track of inventory and merchandise fulfillment.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Create strategies for design creation and implementation of products through cross-team collaboration
- Look at fashion trends and anticipate designs [based on artist taste] that will appeal to consumers
- Oversee the final production of merchandise
- Provide information for artists and management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts, while generating reports and analysis
- Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs
- Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with Marketing, Advertising and Production teams
- Determines product pricing by utilizing market research, reviewing production and sales costs, anticipating volume, etc.
- Coordinate deliveries with International suppliers and service providers to meet on-time delivery and cost goals.
- Monitor and maintain shipment details. This includes but is not limited to the monitoring and process management of customer orders, and International shipments and providing status to internal customers.
- Track quality, quantity, stock, transport costs, delivery timelines, and productivity
- Address any problems or complaints that may arise quickly and amicably
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 21 or older
- 3+ years of experience of post-college experience in graphic design and/or production, preferably in the music and/or entertainment industry.
- Bachelor's Degree in fashion-related field preferred
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; No Temporary Employment
- Lives in Los Angeles County or can easily travel to Los Angeles County
- Must have a valid Driver's License, reliable transportation & able to attend occasional off-site meetings and events
- Strong interest in the Music Industry, Entertainment, Pop Culture, and Fashion
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office programs
