Role
Trailer Park is looking for an experienced finance professional from the advertising agency or entertainment industry to join their office in LA as their new Vice-President of Finance. Reporting to our CFO of North America, you will be a key part of our executive team and will manage a senior finance team consisting of a VP-Controller, Director of Client Accounting and Director of Financial Planning & Analysis.
You will be responsible for the development of financial management strategy and contribute to the development of the organization’s strategic goals. We are looking for someone who can contribute to future changes in finance policies and procedures that will drive our strategic and tactical success.
The ideal candidate will have a background in client finance, as well as financial planning and analysis. We are an innovative, creative, collaborative and fast-paced environment and we are looking for someone who is able to fit into this culture.
Responsibilities
• Manage the effective strategic, financial and human resources planning and information
• Provide comptrollership functions in order to ensure finances are managed accordingi to legislation, policies and procedures and generally accepted accounting principles
• Manage the monthly, quarterly and year end reporting
• Manage and improve the month end close functions, internal and external reporting
• Work closely with each divisoin to manage budgets, expenses and variance analysis
• Manage 3 direct reports: VP-Controller, Director of Client Accounting and Director of Financial Planning & Analysis
• Provide guidance on HR issues from a financial perspective
• Implement and oversse the proper financial and accounting controls and manage financial and legal risk
• Manage the process for any future M&A transactions
Qualifications
• Minimum of ten years Finance and Accounting experience including five years senior level management experience – ideally in an advertising agency or entertainment marketing company
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance: MBA highly preferred
• You have held progressively more responsible Finance positions in either a large advertising agency or group or within entertainment marketing, including at least one rapidly growing company
• You are both strategic and tactical; able to contribute at the executive level while still having an acute eye for detail
• You thrive in a rapidly-changing environment where every day brings a new challenge
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
• Ideally, experience with client finance and financial planning & analysis – or managed those functions
• Strong leadership skills with experience in building, managing and leading finance and administration teams
• Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate across all levels within the organization
• Highly skilled in the area of developing positive working relationships with a diverse group of people who may serve in various roles within or outside the company in order to achieve common goals.
• Conduct oral presentations on an individual or group basis.
