Role
Internships within the Art Machine print division will provide participants with a creative, enjoyable and informative experience. During their internship, participants will be given opportunity to learn about print production from concept through delivery. They will be given the opportunity to participate in the creative process.
Responsibilities
Duties/Assignments
• Research assets & select photography for source art to be used in the execution of key art concepts by design team.
• Prep & mask images from unit, stock and special shoot photography for design team usage.
• Attend and assist an on-site photo shoot.
• Render type for a title treatment exploration.
• Participate on a team to concept for key art for a theatrical release.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Preferred Skills/Requirements
• Knowledge of Mac OS and proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Portfolio that demonstrates illustration, photo manipulation and graphic design skills to perform the assignments listed above.
• Ability to function as a team player and collaborate with others to achieve daily objectives in a timely manner.
• Must have excellent communication skills and work well in a fast-paced environment.
• An interest in movies and passion for entertainment design a necessity.
By the end of the summer, you can expect to have gained the following skills:
• Advanced-level masking skills.
• Art direction for photography in the execution of an entertainment marketing campaign.
• Understanding of the creative process for entertainment key art production within an agency environment.
