Manager, Health & Safety Communications DGE (PH)
Job Summary:
This role reports to the Sr Manager Health & Safety Operations and is responsible for communications related to COVID safety protocols on our productions. This includes attending meetings and communicating out the minutes to all stakeholders (SR Mgr HSMs, Production Execs, Legal, Labor, HR/ER), creating standard operating procedures (SOPs) with input from the subject matter experts, and update SOPs, All Crew Guides, etc when necessary. This Manager will function as the communication lead for all HSMs across WDT studios. They will be crucial to maintain or create a shared site for all these documents, and be the point person to keep them up to date and available to all.
This is a Project position and employment will continue on this Project (at the company's sole discretion), and in no event shall extend past the completion of the Project.
Responsibilities:
• Develop standardized communication templates to be used when information needs to be shared across stakeholder population (HSMs, Production Execs, Legal, Labor Relations, etc)
• Take minutes of meetings and communicate relevant information to all stakeholders in timely manner
• Own and organize an SOP document repository, partnering closely with the Sr Mgr HSM overseeing SOPs
• Create and update SOPs in partnership with Sr Mgr overseeing SOPs
• Help create and maintain distribution lists for stakeholder communications
• Help run point on communication vehicles needed for positive case notifications related to local jurisdictions (AB 685, Labor Relations notices, etc)
• Be the point person for all communications going to the HSM population
• Key point of contact for training materials and technology to track crew and HSM training
• Key point of contact to gather and track production schedules (pre-production start, principal photography, etc)
Basic Qualifications:
• Ability to adapt to varying work environments, possesses a strong pro-active work ethic and quickly adapt to new responsibilities
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proven strong organizational skills including logistics, time management and scheduling
• Must be a people person who can collaborate/partner with confidence
• Must be comfortable speaking to groups
• Strong problem solver in a highly fast driven creative environment
• Knowledge of safety and health standards and regulations.
