TIFF, a vibrant not-for-profit arts organization, is hiring for the full-time position of:
SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER
Reporting to the Senior Director, People & Culture, the Senior HR Business Partner will lend their expertise to an assigned portfolio of departments, facilitate internal & external professional development organization-wide, and be responsible for HR data analysis & metrics.
Responsibilities
• HR Business Partner (60%):
• Provide to a dedicated portfolio of departments HR expertise, advice & HR strategies to support them with:
• Full HR life-cycle from recruitment through to exit interviews
• Employee engagement initiatives
• Employee relations
• Performance Management & Development Plans
• Policy interpretation
• Facilitate roll-out of new initiatives & workshops
• Succession planning
• Compensation planning
• Budget & forecast planning
• Professional Development/Learning & Development (20%):
• Identify departments, employees groups or subject matter that are not being reached effectively and utilize that information for future training planning
• Identify trends in employee survey results, employee feedback and reports and provide recommendations for improvement and aligning TIFF with best practices
• Responsible for various internal programs: Professional Development applications, WINGS, Co-Star, Mentorship, etc.
• Responsible for master list of internal Subject Matter Experts: schedule presentations and training sessions as applicable, maintain a database of their presentations. Reach out to employees with specific skill sets to encourage participation
• Support Festival Volunteer Training Sessions as needed
• Act as an alternate to deliver Employee New Hire Orientation sessions during peak periods
• Facilitate internal training sessions year round & pre-Festival(s), as required
• Create new & modify existing presentations, as required
• Responsible for Applicant Tracking System (ATS) training documents and facilitate training sessions for Hiring Managers, as required.
• Data Management/ Reporting Analysis & Metrics (20%):
• Generate monthly and ad hoc reports (headcount, turnover, recruitment metrics, workforce planning, contract end dates, etc)
• Complete compensation surveys as needed
• Complete the annual Top 100 Employer Survey
• Maintain data integrity in HRIS systems to ensure completeness and accuracy with payroll
• Database administrator for Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
• Work with HR Coordinator to ensure both paper files and digital files are up to date
• Provide support to BambooHR system and reporting
• General:
• Lead the HR critical path for the annual Festival Job Fair with the support of HR Intern/Coop Student(s).
• Contributor to progressive HR practices and implementation of projects and initiatives
• Research and benchmark HR practices as needed
• Active Social Squad Committee member for employee social events
Minimum Requirements
• CHRP designation in good standing
• Completed Certificate or degree in Human Resources
• 2- 3 years HR business partner/generalist, facilitation & analytics experience required
• Working knowledge of HRIS Systems (BambooHR and/or ADP people@work/pay@work, Lever preferred)
• Solid knowledge of HR best practices and legislative regulations (Provincial) in order to provide sound HR guidance.
• Experienced with public speaking, and/or facilitating HR content to a diverse and large audience
• Previous experience creating and running reports and importing data Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate level Excel and Powerpoint) and Gmail
• Excellent interpersonal & judgement skills, with an ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
• Handle confidential information in a discreet manner
• Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment in a pro-active manner
• Contributor to progressive HR practices and implementation
