We are currently hiring for the position of:
Manager, Event Partnerships & Bookings
Reporting to the department Director, the Manager, Event Partnerships & Bookings will be responsible for leading the Event Partnerships & Bookings vertical in achieving sales targets, prospecting, and maintaining productive partner relationships.
Responsibilities
• Review and action all 3rd party event inquiries at TIFF Bell Lightbox
• Manage a portfolio of clients and large scale, multi-day events
• Manage Partner Festival relationships to increase alignment with TIFF's strategic plan
• o Manage bookings for Partner Festivals at TIFF Bell Lightbox with an eye to Partnership opportunities related to TIFF's audience development and diversity & inclusion initiatives
• Engage Partner Festivals in stewardship and cross-promotional opportunities (working in collaboration with TIFF Programming and Membership teams)
• Oversee Event Partnerships & Bookings relationships with all other internal TIFF Bell Lightbox departments
• Lead the team to exceed revenue targets
• Accurately track all incoming revenue and revenue forecasting, providing weekly reporting to Director
• Manage Events Partnerships & Bookings budget with guidance from Director
• Work with Director in establishing new strategies for increasing Event Bookings revenue
• Attract and cultivate new Partnerships and 3rd party rental prospects for Event Bookings via strategic outbound sales process
• Work closely with Event Production and Programming teams to optimize TIFF Bell Lightbox use of spaces and resources
• Oversee all Event Partnerships & Bookings initiatives including, but not limited to, 3rd Party Rentals, Partner Festivals, Private Screenings, Internal Bookings
• Oversee Film Shoots at TIFF Bell Lightbox, managing independent consultant relationship where necessary
• Lead annual Event Partnerships review of rental rates and update sales collateral
Minimum Requirements
• University degree, community college diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 4 years experience in the area of Event Sales, Hospitality, and Event Planning.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task.
• Well developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven interpersonal and team management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, budgets, and timelines.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Committed to providing superior partner service.
• Experience working in a non-profit or arts organization considered an asset.
• Knowledge of Event Management Systems an asset, specifically Artifax.
• Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends, as needed.
