Manager, Corporate Partnerships (Sales)

We are currently hiring for the position of:
MANAGER, CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS (SALES)
The Corporate Partnerships Team is responsible for generating revenue opportunities for TIFF, including TIFF Bell Lightbox year-round and the Toronto International Film Festival. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Partnerships, this is one of three Managers positions, responsible for sourcing, developing and growing corporate partnerships to generate revenue opportunities for the organization and its programmes.
Responsibilities
• Prospecting & Sales, including:
• Research the market to identify prospects for all relevant sponsorship activities
• Lead a high-volume, comprehensive sales outreach process, including sales calls, meetings and proposal development, that is coordinated with existing sponsor and category exclusivity agreements and/or renewal negotiations
• Lead the ideation and development of enticing new business properties
• Participate in existing sponsor renewal and maintenance meetings as required
• Negotiate terms for contracts with new and renewing accounts
• Liaise with all relevant internal and external stakeholders regarding terms of prospective sponsorships to ensure they meet the high quality standards for service expected from TIFF
• Negotiation and Stewardship, including:
• Ensure prospect contract negotiations support revenue strategy and are non-conflicting
• Create, recommend, and oversee development of unique and exciting promotional initiatives to enhance prospective sponsors' involvement with TIFF
• Ensure that the appropriate legal documentation exists to reflect all mutually agreed upon terms of the sponsor partnerships
• Department Operations:
• Lead team execution of sponsorship deliverables, including:
• Festival Ticketing Operations Lead
• Premium Venue Tracking
• Property and Pricing Chart Management
• Custom Film Series Sales Strategist
• Learning Programming Sales Strategist
• Support of Partnerships Team tasks as needed
• Budget Management:
• Draft annual revenue pipeline for New Business categories in liaison with the Director
• Oversee and track revenue and expenses for your New Business category activities and ensure all annual targets are met within budget
Minimum Requirements
• Minimum 4 years of sponsorship or relevant corporate partnership sales experience
• Minimum University-level related post-secondary education
• Demonstrated ability to follow a lead generation, prospecting and sales cycle process in order to meet new business revenue goals
• Demonstrated track record of identifying, cultivating, soliciting new business
• Negotiation skills and ability to diplomatically work with multiple stakeholders
• Very strong relationship building and management skills
• Persuasive; strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-motivated; works independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Problem solver
• Detail-oriented and process-driven
• Imaginative/Innovative
• Experience with working with or for a not-for-profit organization an asset
• Experience in salesforce an asset
• Experience in digital and content focused partnerships an asset
• Adaptable to a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends
