We are currently hiring for the position of:
Industry Centre Assistant
Reporting to the Industry Centre Producer this position will assist with the coordination of volunteers and logistical efforts as they pertain to the build and strike of industry venues for Festival. This role will report directly to the Industry Centre Producer.
Responsibilities
• Liaise with vendors for the timely delivery of furniture, signage, technical equipment, and other build material
• Purchase or rent furniture and technical from technical suppliers leading up to Festival
• Provide servicing support to National Agencies on behalf of the Industry Team
• Assist with the relocation of Industry Office equipment to off-site locations
• Assist with all aspects volunteer labour resourcing (interviews, scheduling, etc.), on behalf of the Industry Office
• Coordinate site safety and security for all on-site Industry Office locations
• Write a detailed post-mortem
Minimum Requirements
• Background in arts administration and event logistics considered an asset.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite in particular), and previous experience working with online database systems will be an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate (oral and written) in a professional and client-oriented manner is expected
• Detail and process oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to respond to fast-changing priorities and deadlines
• Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
• Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
• Fluency in foreign language(s) considered an asset
