We are currently hiring for the position of:
Coordinator, Cinematheque
• Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Cinematheque, the Coordinator, Cinematheque is responsible for providing coordination and administrative support for Cinematheque programming and department operations. Responsibilities will include programme administration (with a focus on scheduling and film bookings), year-round database and systems administration, event management, grant reporting, and Festival programming support for TIFF Classics and Cinema Park programmes as applicable. Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Coordinator will collaborate with relevant teams across the organization to ensure exceptional service, support, and administrative processes for internal and external stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Shall include but not be limited to:
• Administration of seasonal programme and event builds in Artifax including: film list research, arrangement, event, programme, and film format builds
• Daily event management system maintenance including oversight of programming & schedule changes in departmental trackers, orgwide prog list, ticketing build, and website
• Lead monthly film booking research and negotiations with North American distributors, including: all major US and Canadian studios, independent distributors and filmmakers
• Support departmental sign-offs with prioritization on scheduling, film credit information, including: weekly marketing and membership emails, trailer packages, pre-show sign-offs, and monthly programming alerts
• Support with the administration of departmental calendars and team drive data-entry
• Maintain film tracking and other departmental information across key spreadsheets and conduct film and guest research as directed
• Guest-hosting duties as assigned
• Write film notes and programming briefs as required
• Work closely with other internal teams (i.e. Marketing, Communications, Government Relations) to connect programming with audiences
• Provide administrative support for special projects as assigned
• Support Cinematheque programming at Festival as assigned
• Assess ways to improve processes and documentation for better efficiency
• Suggest and contribute to the ideation of programming initiatives, as required
JOB GRADE & SALARY:
• Job Grade 1
• Salary Range $50,000–$57,000

WORK LOCATION:
• Location: 350 King Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 3X5
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• 2 years of experience in arts administration or coordination
• Completion of a degree, diploma, or equivalent in Film Studies; or, currently completing a relevant Film Studies programme an asset
• Previous experience working in entertainment or arts and culture is a strong asset
• Fluency in a second language considered an asset
SKILL:
• Previous programming administration experience an asset
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent computer and data management skills, project management experience, archival database research, Google Suite, Artifax and Trello
