TMB is an established company serving professional customers in entertainment production and staging, primarily rental companies and theatrical dealers, since 1983. TMB is famous for Excellent Quality, ''Rush Service Normal'' and ''Fun is Profitable''. This is a sales position, and while sales experience may be helpful, it is not a requirement. Cold calling (or spamming) is not something we do, and most sales are to customers with whom we have long-term, established relationships.
Detail-oriented candidates with experience in the industry, looking to ''get off the road'', might well find this position rewarding. Hands-on experience with modern stage lighting, video, audio, power distribution or rigging is an asset.
Responsibilities are primarily phone and email communication with customers, maintaining relationships, processing orders. Good communications skills, ability to accurately manage and transcribe detailed information, ability to work as a member of a team, and an understanding of the ''show must go on'' concept will all be really helpful.
Occasional travel may be required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming sales calls and serve as backup to other Sales reps as needed.
- Frequently review and respond to emails for order and bid requests.
- Assist Customer Development Team with providing quotes, writing orders, and/or memo loans for customers.
- Assist Sales Support with entering orders as needed.
- Write orders using SEF form.
- Upsell whenever possible.
- Work with Accounts Receivable to be aware of customer credit terms.
- Greet and assist 'Will Call' customers who have any questions.
- Frequent communication with vendors to check pricing and availability.
- Regularly communicate with Cable Department on lead times for cable builds. Analyze cable orders including inventory levels.
- Complete paperwork for Cable repairs.
- Enter new part numbers/BOMS in SBT.
- Communicate with Operations (Freight, Warehouse, Customer Service) to ensure correct processing of outgoing orders, and incoming
returns, or address any shipping delays.
- Communicate with customers if there are any delays to their order.
- Communicate with Customer Development Team if there are back orders or delays to a customer's order.
- Assist Sales Management with larger quotes.
- Assist with updating price sheets.
- Assist with sales of older equipment via eBay.
- Attend weekly sales meetings.
- Participate in trade shows when assigned.
- Any additional duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- 5-10 years Sales experience within the A/V industry.
- Understanding of sales processes and dynamics.
- Excellent customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
