The Role
The Theorist team is looking for an energetic and organized hybrid HR/Office Management professional to own employee experience and team organization. This person will facilitate a wide range of functions ranging within office maintenance, onboarding, payroll, team events, production, and other administrative tasks. The team is open-minded to training the right cultural fit on specific HR skills, and various types of experience.
The ideal candidate will have an enthusiastic attitude and a passion for learning; including incorporating feedback from other team members, and a ''no task is too big or too small'' attitude. Theorist is an extremely collaborative working environment, therefore, it's essential this person has great communication skills to contribute to the team's ideas. It's critical that the candidate is self-motivated and has the ability to work with others or independently.
The team is open-minded to coach an entry-level candidate eager to gain experience, or a mid-level professional that obtains relevant experience. This is a full time role and based on-site in Raleigh, NC. This position will report directly into the COO and Co-Founder.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate office maintenance, ordering, and basic supplies; contribute to the overall well-being and happiness of the HQ environment - always thinking ''How can we make the employee experience better?''
- Manage HR duties: onboarding, offboarding, benefit administration, payroll administration, performance cycles, 401K matters, fielding employee questions/inquiries.
- Provide administrative, secretarial and general support to the wider management team.
- Handle (Props) errands for Food Theory or GTLive shoots or to the bank/ post office with packages, checks to deposit, etc.
- Organize basic paperwork, entering receipts, filing release forms, or organizing the online folders for the team in the case of non-sensitive files. This could also include coming up with new organizational systems both for online document storage or IRL document storage.
- Organize memorable and fun team events, team travel, and basic calendaring.
- Create an organizational systems for the tech cage, ensuring basic production supplies are handy and ordered (e.g. no one runs out of batteries in the middle of a shoot).
- Organize team gifts, cards, remembering team birthdays, and following up with thank you notes to other companies, collaborators, or fans.
- Once established and trusted: Coordinating shoot dates with collaborators or guests, set-up of meeting times and locations for in-person meetings in LA or Raleigh.

- Proven experience as an HR coordinator/administrative position OR willingness, motivated, and coachable attitude to learn.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, can-do attitude - low ego environment.
- Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
- A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements.
- Excellent organizational skills, time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
