Human Resources Coordinator
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for the execution of the day-to-day Human Resources administrative needs and will provide some light accounting support to include credit card reconciliations as well as other duties as assigned. This position will work closely with the CFO/COO to effectively support HR functions including but not limited to: recruitment, on-boarding, payroll/timecard maintenance, benefits administration, HRIS and policies & procedures. This position interacts with all employees, requiring the ability to clearly communicate and interpret HR policies and programs. The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with solid judgment and discretion is critical.
HR Responsibilities:
Assists with recruitment efforts by coordinating interviews, collecting feedback, posting jobs.
Assists in onboarding and off boarding of employees, including new hire paperwork, background checks, benefits administration and paperwork, coordinating new hire orientation and exit interviews.
Maintain Personnel Files
Responsible for benefits and payroll administration support; Time & Attendance
Complete employment verifications & Employment Development Department (EDD) notices.
Assist with general HR questions and understanding how to apply company policy and procedures, determining when escalation is necessary.
Provide support in day-to-day administrative tasks and projects.
Accounting Responsibilities:
AMEX - Monthly Credit Card reconciliation
Coordinating Payroll batches (collecting, organizing and submitting Harvest hours to Controller)
Assisting Controller with check runs and individual check requests.
A/P Paid Invoice Filing
Qualifications:
Minimum two (2) years progressive HR experience required, degree desired.
Advertising, commercial production or entertainment experience preferred.
Prior experience in accounts payable and other accounting functions.
Knowledge of payroll/HRIS systems - Ease experience preferred
Must be proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel
Must have excellent interpersonal, presentation and written skills.
Self-directed, detail-oriented problem solver with a passion to pursue HR and/or Recruiting as a career path.
Must be able to work well under pressure and adjust priorities, as needed
Proven track record of results and ability to work in a fast paced environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information.
Ability to work with confidential information and consistently exercise good judgment in dealing with a variety of situations and have the foresight to alert Manager when necessary.
Base Salary: DOE - $40s to start plus annual bonus.
