Reporting to the Director, Marketing, the Manager, Editorial Marketing, will play a key role in shaping the Movies Anywhere (MA) brand voice across several key marketing channels including social, paid media, and email. The role is responsible for crafting meaningful messaging and content that connects the dots between movie releases, product and partner updates, and key marketing events.
Responsibilities:
• Build a strong, data-driven content and merchandising strategy, supported with clear, consistent, and compelling messaging
• Develop and oversee day-to-day Marketing calendar beats, designed to drive engagement with Movies Anywhere.
• Oversee in-app marketing priorities - including marketing heroes, collections, sliders, in-app messaging, and push notifications and collections - crafting short, succinct messaging to support each marketing element
• In collaboration with the creative team, manage and execute against a compelling creative strategy that elevates the MA brand, and drives understanding and interest in the app
• Support MA Publicity and Communications efforts, including agency management and oversight of influencer/blogger campaigns, press release development, title-specific activations, and key events/stunts
• Collaborate with marketing and creative leads, building streamlined processes to ensure alignment on key strategies, creative, and messaging across stakeholders
• Establish solid communication across the MA organization to ensure teams are informed of key editorial beats
• Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and studio partners
• Collaborate with the legal team to identify requirements and approval for written, static, and video content
Basic Qualifications:
• 8 years' experience in editorial and/or programming roles
• Strong problem-solving skills, with experience building novel creative solutions to reach marketing goals
• Experience leveraging data sources and research to help inform messaging and creative
• Proven ability to build clear processes and consistent communication channels for ongoing projects
• Success in motivating and fostering a collaborative, results-driven team
• Able to develop, enhance, and maintain relationships across internal, partner, and vendor organizations
• Demonstrated ability to juggle scope and resources to consistently meet assigned targets and deadlines
• Experience leading and managing teams (direct and indirect)
• Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills – up, down, across, and outside the organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Programming and/or merchandising experience with an app and/or digital platform
• Copywriting background
• Experience managing publicists and/or talent to augment content strategy
• Understanding of A/B test implementation, with ability to nimbly and quickly respond to real time insights
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree
