The Supervisor of TV Repurposing is a full time position which involves working with a fast-paced team delivering Walt Disney Pictures content as versions mainly to broadcast distribution models such as network, cable, & syndication. With incredible content and the high quality brand of Walt Disney products, we deliver a high volume of 400-750 TV versions a year to clients like USA, F/X, Turner, CNG Networks, A&E, IFC, etc. This role is responsible for supervising and executing the assessment & preparation of editorial bandwidth requirements and overseeing asset management, internal and external communications, and assists in scheduling.
Responsibilities
• Top notch organizational skills, ability to take direction and give orders as needed and collaborate to meet specific client needs, budgets, and timelines.
• Ensure all elements / materials are located and delivered to appropriate vendors.
• Research Inventory and ensure appropriate elements are located, selected, and moved to the appropriate vendors.
• Serve as liaison to inventory management to assure proper retention of all elements.
• Scheduling and tracking of show deliverables from start to finish with the ability to report any title status at any time for delivery timing and evaluation.
• Notification to directors, producers, etc. of any changes, estimated cuts, or BS&P requirements.
• As needed scheduling of stages, talent / hiring of additional weekly editors and rental equipment to meet the demands of the clients.
• Coordinate and oversee Dubbing Orders including transfers, creation and delivery of various titles, screeners, promos, air clones, captioning, etc.
• Working collaboratively with the post production team, editors, outside vendors and internal and external clients to ensure projects are completed as expected.
• Work independently and with teams, able to decipher problems and create solutions.
• Interface with legal regarding talent rights and ability to confirm with editorial talent all cuts and changes for proper approvals and future tracking.
• Manage time effectively and learn quickly, stay calm under pressure and excel in fast-paced project timeframes.
• Assist in responding to content delivery requests by maintaining familiarity with various technologies.
• Receive, evaluate and approve Purchase Orders/ invoices from vendors.
• Coordinate ordering of television end credits per legal.
• Partner with Mastering and Airline / Non-theatrical (and all other pertinent departments) to ensure that future alternative footage is available to TV editorial in the future.
Basic Qualifications
• 3 years combined post-production coordination experience, and TV Editorial / digital.
• Self-driven and able to complete tasks with minimal guidance if necessary. Demonstrates ability to multitask, prioritize, and hit deadlines with superior organization skills and communication.
• Background in film and television production, and / or in digital content with a working knowledge of Network acceptable standards and practices.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a deadline-driven / changing environment.
• Productivity-focused and proven to be a quick problem solver, with ability to overcome technical challenges as necessary.
• Knowledge with a variety of post-production formats & software including: AVID, Final Cut, Quicktime, FTP knowledge, and a variety of video codecs and distribution specifications a plus.
• Experience with Excel, Word, SAP, FileMaker. Any other scheduling software not necessary but may be necessary.
• Understanding of mastering and localization.
• Understanding of basic formats, frame rates, etc.
