Job Summary:
The Senior Consultant, Diversity & Inclusion and Talent will be part of a team reinventing how we manage the employee experience and enable inclusive workplace practices. This role works closely with the Corporate Diversity & Inclusion lead, Talent & Development Solutions team, and Corporate Leaders to implement impactful and sustainable talent and culture change interventions. At Disney, we are prioritizing creating a culture of belonging, and this role will be at the forefront of these efforts.
Responsibilities:
Diversity & Inclusion
• Partner with the Corporate Diversity & Inclusion lead to operationalize the Diversity & Inclusion strategy across Corporate
• Partner with HR Business Partners to define and drive Diversity & Inclusion action plans at the function level
• Provide advisory to Corporate employee resources groups to guide them in delivering impactful, relevant, and measurable activations
• Design and implement Diversity & Inclusion offerings, such as speaker and panel events and other unique programming that enable a culture of belonging
• Analyze workforce data, employee survey data, and external research to recommend relevant and innovative actions to make progress in the Diversity & Inclusion space
• Design presentations to provide updates on Diversity & Inclusion efforts to Corporate HR and business leaders
• Partner closely with the enterprise Diversity & Inclusion team and other Diversity & Inclusion partners across The Walt Disney Company to benchmark solutions and implement enterprise-wide offerings
Talent
• Partner with the Talent & Development Solutions team to develop and deliver fit-for-purpose talent strategies and solutions; such as employee on-boarding, succession planning, and career development
• Support Talent & Development Solutions team in managing the employee engagement survey and action planning process, helping HR Business Partners and Leaders refine talent strategies in meaningful and informed ways
• Partner with HR Business Partners and other stakeholders to identify and action on broader talent and learning opportunities and needs
• Partner with People Insights to leverage workforce data and employee survey results in a way that aligns with the Corporate data strategy
• Maintain a high level of understanding and knowledge of both HR and Organizational strategies across Corporate functions, and remain curious in industry trends that impact The Walt Disney Company as a whole
• Assist with learning development, delivery, and logistics
Basic Qualifications:
• 3 years of experience in Diversity & Inclusion, talent management, learning and development, change management, and/or consulting
• Exceptional project manager; organized and detail-oriented
• Collaborator, team player, and able to establish and maintain good relationships with team members and business partners
• Self-starter and pro-active; takes initiative to drive to outcomes and elevate new and bold ideas, practices, and offerings
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Compelling storyteller; ability to communicate in clear and inspiring ways, adapting appropriately to the environment and audience
• Consultative mindset that drives with curiosity; approaches problems or roadblocks as opportunities for learning and creative thinking
• Ability to think strategically and tactically to address current and future business needs
• Comfortable working with quantitative and qualitative data
• Comfortable facilitating training sessions with different sized groups and in-person and remote audiences
• Passionate about the Diversity & Inclusion space and establishing a culture of belonging; a visible champion of this work
• In-depth, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Human Resources Management or a related discipline
