Project Manager, Enterprise HR (PH)
Job Summary:
The Project Manager, Enterprise Human Resources is responsible for the management of project tasks spanning Enterprise HR or Functional HR teams. The project manager is responsible for coordinating internal stakeholders and third parties/vendors for the successful execution of projects. This person is responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget.
To be successful, this person needs to have three core characteristics:
• Excellent project management and organization skills
• Strong collaboration and communication skills (both oral and written)
• Comfortable with fluid and evolving priorities and workstreams
Responsibilities:
• Work with the Senior Manager to develop project management methods and tools for consistent use across Human Resources
• Manage projects from end-to-end, including phases such as RFI/RFP process, vendor demos, day-to-day project management, testing, cutover, go-live, sustainment and any communications considerations
• Coordinate, facilitate, and work with teams that are built to execute enterprise initiatives and projects. The construct of these teams will differ, based on need.
• Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders to develop and agree on project scopes, objectives, and deadlines
• Develop and maintain a detailed project plan to track progress
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
• Report and escalate issues, concerns, roadblocks to management as needed
• Manage positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and third parties/vendors; strive to support commons goals over individual needs; be an influencer to achieve agreement and buy-in from stakeholders
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Personally, and with Communications partners, develop easily digestible project plans, updates, and communications for key leaders and stakeholders
• Understand the respective strategies of HR Leaders, HR COE, and Community of Practice leaders to gauge how project outcomes may align or impact other HR priorities and workstreams
• Identify opportunities for integration, alignment on strategy, prioritization, stronger communications and problems solve gaps with HR partners. Drive towards solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience; Enterprise level Project Management experience that span multiple functional areas / teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint; Smartsheet, JIRA
• Human Resources practioner, with direct experience across HR disciplines and/or keen appreciation for the diverse portfolio of HR disciplines
• Develops detailed plans and executes them
• Strong time management and organization skills. Possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize work load on a daily basis
• Track record of building and nurturing business relationships, focused on outcomes and deliverables
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong ability to build communications tools that are clear and impactful, such as presentations and executive summaries
• Comfortable delivering difficult or persuasive messages, with explaining the rationale behind them
• Comfortable asking for and receiving feedback, from a diverse group of stakeholders
• Cultivates his/her own curiosity AND focuses on impact
• Demonstrates leadership skills with the ability to turn vision into action, motivate others to achieve goals, and follow through on decisions
• Leads so that others choose to follow
• Comfortable in a conceptual environment and has demonstrated experience to translate concepts to tangible, concrete outputs
Preferred Qualifications:
• 5-7 Years of project management experience preferred. Experience managing multiple projects at once.
• PMP certification is a plus
Required Education
• Bachelors' degree in related field
Preferred Education
• Masters' degree in related field
