Manager, HR Communications (Project Hire)
Job Summary:
The Manager, HR Communications is a 12 month project hire role, reporting into the Director, HR & Total Rewards Communication. The manager will assist in the development, monitoring and execution of employee communication and branded marketing campaigns in a portfolio that includes Disney's new $50 million education investment program for hourly employees as well as learning and leadership development initiatives within Human Resources. This role works with multiple in-house teams and external agencies on a day to day basis and plays a critical role in supporting, shaping and sharing our stories to a primarily internal audience and some external partners and platforms as well.
The ideal candidate possesses a public relations mindset with excellent written communication skills, is highly organized, and has the ability to plan and track multiple projects autonomously while meeting deadlines with a positive attitude. Relationship skills are key as multiple perspectives and key data points from across businesses must be considered and implemented into the launch and sustainment strategy for Disney Education Investment Program. The manager will support the launch the program and see it through implementation to sustainment.
Responsibilities:
• Create and support the framework of the communication/media plans that will deliver on strategic communication and business partners goals related to Disney's Education Investment Program for hourly employees and
in the areas of learning and leadership development and talent solutions
• Support the development of the Disney Education Investment Program narrative, key messages and overall briefings to best tell our program and employee stories.
• Write communication elements such as research memos, key messages and editorial/social media content; oversee the production and usage of creative assets like videos, graphics and presentations
• Manage day to day brand, marketing and communications work with HR Comms & Strategy team, in-house creative agency and external creative agencies towards a seamless and integrated marketing campaign; ensuring creative is well aligned to strategy; consult on best practices by platform
• Work closely with Disney's Learning & Development and Talent Solutions teams to gather program information and updates, including data analysis efforts to integrate into enterprise communications and strategy.
• Integrate stories and messaging into other site/segment/company communication plans to reinforce efforts and initiatives.
• Partner on highly visible, external initiatives that support our strategic and business objectives
• Represents HR Comms team in a variety of cross functional communications and HR planning groups, including working with segment communications teams to ensure alignment with the new program as well as existing programs.
• In partnership with our people insights team, provide message delivery analysis, optimizations/rationale, ROI, and insights for campaigns
• Stay on top of industry trends to inform communications planning
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
• 5 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• PR or Marketing Agency Experience
• Graphic Design Programs, photoshop, etc.
• Disney Experience
• Previous agency experience
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree
