Job Summary:
Partners HR Data Analyst Internship, Fall 2019 – Orlando, FL
We Are:
The Data and Analytics team at Partners Federal Credit Union (PFCU) advances our projects in the areas of Marketing (predicting churn), Lending (credit scoring), Risk (fraud analytics) and more. Our goal is to seek out and integrate all available data in the organization that can be used to generate valuable business insights to support and grow the mission of Making All Financial Dreams Come True. We are responsible for the integration, movement, reporting and analysis of all data in the organization and have an ever expanding footprint within Partners Federal Credit Union.
The HR Data and Analysis intern will bring together quantitative and qualitative data from various sources to create relevant analyses and data visualization of workforce trends across the organization. These outputs will serve as a key input into HR tactical and strategic decisions across key functional areas such as talent acquisition, training, and organizational design and development. Data will often come from a variety of sources such that the role requires a high level of comfort with consolidating and integrating a wide variety of types of information.
Responsibilities:
• Day-to-day reporting and analytics: Design and develop data reporting and visualization tools. Establish the process and required calculations. Research and identify key HR metrics. Proactively identifies, researches, and provides considerations to HR team on data consistency and quality issues.
• Database Management: Develop and create consolidated data repository of information from a variety of sources. Must be comfortable extracting data and moving it to a central location. Research and analyze potential errors and develop recommendations on effective data management processes.
• Partner Collaboration: Meet regularly with HR leaders to learn and develop HR functional knowledge and understand business needs. Meet regularly with Business Intelligence team to collaborate on best practices for data analysis as well as on optimal ways to access to key business data points.
• Client Interaction: Communicate with key business partners as part of delivery of reporting results. Provide high level description of what data represents, follow up as needed with any questions or concerns providing understanding with minimal supervision.
• Presentation Development: Create key charts and graphs as well as limited documents based on specific direction from analysts. Provide recommendations on specific presentations and key points of analysis.
Basic Qualifications:
• Demonstrated strong proficiency in Excel, Access, SAP, and Business Objects
• Familiarity with Tableau, PowerBI, or other data visualization tools
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
• Experience manipulating and analyzing data, and reporting on the results
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organization skills with attention to detail
• Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
• Strong interpersonal and partnering skills who excels in a collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Cognos and/or SharePoint
• Exposure to HRIS or related HR Systems
• Previous experience with HR functional areas to include Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Learning & Development and/or Organizational Design
Required Education
• Junior or higher working towards (or recently graduated with) a degree in Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Data Management, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or other related quantitative field
• GPA of 3.0 or higher
Additional Information:
• Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
• Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
• Program Dates: Interns must be fully available from June 2019 through January 2020.
• Required Materials: Resume and transcripts must be uploaded at time of online application.
• Transportation: Interns must have reliable transportation to get to and from work for the duration of their internship program.
• Housing: A limited number of housing is available for Florida based participants. Interns are able to sign up for housing once they have accepted an internship offer.
