Job Summary:
The Marketing Manager, Regional, will be one of a team of Marketing experts, working across the General Entertainment channels portfolio. The role will be responsible for supporting the development of Regional Marketing strategies and campaigns, working across, and guiding, markets throughout EMEA with the aim to build awareness and engagement, and drive to our key monetised platforms.
This individual will have a deep understanding of the target audience and will lead the development of regional connections and content plans across all General Entertainment platforms. This individual will be the brand expert and will help guide the local markets, as well as the creative teams and external agencies, in developing relevant Marketing content and media plans.
This role has regional responsibilities and will require strong leadership; building and maintaining relationships across markets and lines of business in order to achieve business objectives.
The Media Networks division are responsible for a diverse range of channel brands and content. By broadcasting into over 250M households across 105 countries globally, the Media Networks division brings our channel brands, shows and characters into people's homes and lives each and every day.
The General Entertainment channels network (FOX, FOX Comedy, FOX Life, FOX Crime, FX) is responsible for over 500 hours of scripted drama each year and is the leading home for comedy and adult animation. The General Entertainment channels network supports the pay-TV ecosystem with disruptive and varied content (The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, The Orville, American Dad) and award-winning series and talent (Atlanta, American Crime Story).
Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing
Understand attitudes & behaviours of key audiences, where to connect with them, and with what content
Develop effective and efficient regional media guidelines which define where and when to connect with our audiences
Devise effective and efficient integrated marketing campaign strategies and guidelines to support the launch of key programme releases across the region, in order to drive viewership across the monetised platforms
Undertake PCA's with the local markets in order to evaluate and measure regional performance
Ensure all communications reflect the unique brand identity of the General Entertainment channels and build consistency for the brands/channels in look, feel and voice
Understand the competitive environment, applying insights to drive relevant brand strategies
Content and Media Plan Development and Agency Management
Leveraging insights and knowledge, develop content briefs with clear guidance and deliverables
Work with Marketing, Programming and Creative Services stakeholders to identify key priorities, content themes and digital trends, to influence creative production
Manage relationships with media and creative agencies as required
Work alongside the Media Planning team to ensure we are strategically driving to key content on our core platforms and then back to our key monetised platforms
Define content requirements to ensure appropriate content volumes, windowing and placement
Reporting and Analysis
Oversee the monitoring and reporting of Regional marketing campaigns; evaluating and measuring performance, providing insights, context and recommendations in order to help determine future planning and KPI setting
TWDC Lines of Business
Drive owned and earned media exposure by working cross lines of business
Act as a key point of contact between US, Regional and local teams to ensure visibility and sharing of campaigns to reduce duplication and deliver efficiencies
Act as brand guardian for all regional and local campaigns and liaison with the US as required
Leadership
Inspire and guide local market teams
Lead and manage direct reports as required
Basic Qualifications:
• Proven Marketing experience at a Marketing Manager level, with a deep knowledge of digital media ecosystems
• Ability to formulate, manage and deliver successful marketing campaigns
• Previous agency management experience
• Previous commercial experience and budget management
• Strong people management skills
