Job Summary:
The View has an opening for an Associate Producer. The ideal candidate will have TV experience including but not limited to researching elements for live segments, clearing photos and video clips from social media and preparing informational topics packages.
Responsibilities:
• Sourcing, tracking and preparing photo and video elements for broadcast.
• Assist show producers in preparing guest segments by gathering and synthesizing pertinent background material.
• Researching and creating research packets for upcoming guests.
• Pitching stories regularly
• Vetting stories thoroughly
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year experience in a fast paced news environment or on similar live show broadcast.
• Strong writing and research skills.
• Strong research skills using various social media outlets.
• Experience with clearing photo and video clips for broadcast.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of shooting on DV cams and cell phones for digital, using FTP files and Skype.
• Knowledge of INews.
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
