The Director of Human Resources will serve as a true business partner at THE THIRD FLOOR, the world's preeminent Visualization Studio with the heart and soul of an artist-driven company. The Director of HR will lead the HR Department from Los Angeles and counsel the CEO and other Department Heads to make the right talent decisions. Candidates will be responsible for driving people strategies and talent management efforts, including workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, organizational design, succession planning and the development of key talent.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as a pivotal member of the Management Team by driving business results through systemic organizational and talent strategies that are aligned to the company's overall business strategy, and aligned with the company's ''family first'' culture and core values.
* To work closely with talent managers in other TTF offices sharing best people practices and wider company initiatives
* Review and analyze business data to identify trends and recommend solutions to optimize performance, retain talent, and nurture the holistic employee experience that TTF is known for.
* Provide oversight, coaching, and direction in the handling of complex employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
* Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions, and job re-leveling.
* Implement effective strategies to enable the organization to thrive through periods of change and provide group and one-on-one coaching with managers and employees to enhance their leadership, business problem solving, and performance management skills.
* Ability to lead the efforts in conjunction with the Recruitment Team, to source, recruit and on-board the best talent, including the establishment of long-term talent pipelining programs such as university partnerships.
* Partner with the department's Artist/Talent Managers to establish effective strategies for consistent career coaching, as well as protocols for tackling performance management issues as a team.
* Assist with and advise on company-wide employee messaging.
* Play a leadership role in budget planning, workforce planning, succession planning, and career management to support the company's big picture objectives.
* Continually assess the competitiveness and effectiveness of all HR programs and practices against the relevant comparable companies, industries, and markets.
* Help build management capability by promoting an open and inclusive environment that encourages and rewards team member engagement.
* Champion HR initiatives that support the success of the organization's growth and reinforce a collaborative, aligned, and engaged culture.
Essential Skills:
* 8+ years of directly applicable HR experience in a progressive, forward-thinking environment.
* Demonstrated advanced understanding and application of Human Resources disciplines including, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, Organizational Design, Compensation, Talent Acquisition and Change Management.
* Demonstrated ability to lead a team of HR Business Partners.
* Demonstrated ability to build credibility and confidence with a wide variety of leaders as a trusted advisor and confidant.
* Unquestioned integrity with assertiveness, presence and confidence. Excellent influencing skills at all levels in the organization and competence in making timely, effective, principles-based decisions.
* Demonstrated advanced focus, judgment, analytical skills, critical thinking and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal) required.
* Strong business and financial acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and business analysis skills.
* Ability to bring new ideas and leverage HR expertise and operations knowledge.
* Proven extensive experience with US and Californian labor laws.
* Demonstrated ability and experience working effectively in a self-directed, proactive, results-oriented, matrixed, fast-paced creative environment across all levels.
* Bachelor's degree and relevant direct work experience required.
