Full Time Job
Los Angeles based band, with strong merchandise presence, is seeking a results-driven Merchandise Planner with an entrepreneurial spirit to drive high revenue and profitability growth.
Role:
Report to Director of E-commerce and aid in the development of merchandise strategy resulting in best revenue opportunities with focus on the following areas:
- D2C- Maintain artist's Direct to Consumer presence including D2C only products, timing of new product launches and development of marketing ideas to increase traffic/conversion on the e-commerce store
- Tour- Work with the touring department to create a product line for artist tours
- Retail- Assist in the development of retail product offerings and marketing programs
Job Functions:
- Help facilitate the development of products from inception to finished product, including design solicitation, approvals, setting production specs and quality assurance
- Perform detailed trend analyses for products and evaluate historical performance, marketing strategy and initial sales performance for new products
- Maintain detailed execution calendar with all key product activities across channels (Retail, Tour, Direct-to-Consumer) for corresponding events (music launches, tours, anniversaries, etc.)
- Coordinate with Director of E-commerce to create presentations for artist highlighting ideas and plans for upcoming quarter/year
- Responsible for asset delivery to internal creative department to create content for social and marketing channels
- Proactively facilitate social, email and online marketing plans
- Aid in the maintenance of D2C e-commerce store when necessary
- Provide support for special projects as necessary, including pop up shops, special events, etc.
Required Skills:
- 2+ years in a merchandise role that requires coordination, attention to detail and thoroughness (ideally in areas of entertainment or fashion)
- Exceptional time management skills- ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects with overlapping goals and objectives
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of major projects in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with multiple deadlines
- Strong financial, analytical, and project management skills
- Have proficiency in retail math and proven ability to translate those metrics into actionable information that drives financial results
- Great verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
- Creative and able to think outside of the box
- Be interested, or well versed, in pop culture to identify with current trends and lifestyle brands
- Skilled in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
- Skilled in Shopify and other e-commerce platforms
- Knowledge of Google Analytics and e-commerce metrics preferred
- Skilled in Adobe PhotoShop, InDesign, etc. a plus
