The Refinery is an award-winning entertainment advertising agency located in Sherman Oaks. We work with all of the major studios producing creative digital, A/V and print campaigns for theatrical properties and television/streaming content.

We are currently seeking a candidate to handle our busy post-production project schedule. As an entertainment advertising agency working with all of the major studios, networks, and streaming outlets - your expertise in organizing the various elements of trailers, tv spots / commercials, and creative content deliverables is desired to meet the tight deadlines and expectations of our clients.
Responsibilities
for this role:
• Oversee and distribute Assistant Editorial resource schedule to ensure optimal coverage based on volume and type of work
• Provide and/or assign training for new AE team members
• Ensure daily department workload is handled timely, accurately and efficiently based on project priority
• Serve as finishing producer for projects on behalf of Producers, ensuring excellent, detail-oriented finishing executions.
• Serve as the point person for Producers, Editors and Human Resources
• Identify potential improvements or changes to department processes and discuss potential implementation with Head of Operations
• Problem solve on daily workflow challenges to help keep the projects moving.
• Communicate to all AV staff and any other impacted party changes to processes or protocols
Qualifications
for this role:
• Ability to Demonstrate leadership by creating and maintaining a positive work environment for the Assistant Editorial team
• Extraordinary communication skills – verbal and written – to deliver accurate information in a expedited, courteous, concise and professional manner.
• Advanced understanding of file formats and bonus points for hands-on Premiere Pro and/or Avid Media Composer knowledge.
• Must be proactive and oversee delegated project assignments to completion.
