Digital Developer (Freelance)
The Refinery is an award-winning entertainment advertising agency located in Sherman Oaks. We work with all of the major studios producing creative digital, A/V and print campaigns for theatrical properties and television/streaming content.
First off, we are seeking candidates who embody our core values – Refiners are talented, kind, client-focused, ego-free and passionate. With most employees working virtually, we have continued to maintain a corporate culture in which caring for each other remains a top priority. We still celebrate everything – from birthdays to our Halloween costume contest to National Donut Day!
We are looking to expand our freelance roster for Digital Developers.
Qualifications:
• Proven track record of effective participation in team projects, great communication, and the desire to contribute in any way that will make the project a success
• Experience building email campaigns (e.g., MailChimp) and rich media units across desktop and mobile devices
• Prefer work experience in an advertising agency in a Mac heavy environment
Skills:
• Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder and AfterEffects
• Strong understanding of cross browser compatibility and file compression strategies (images and videos)
• Intermediate level capability with FTP protocols and uploading
• Advanced experience with ad serving platforms and API using DoubleClick (certification preferred) and Sizmek including troubleshooting, polite loading and date/time dynamic content
• Expert knowledge building banner ads with rich media units using advanced HTML5, CSS and JavaScript across desktop and mobile devices
