Part Time Job
The Mae Agency is looking to add a PR account coordinator/assistant to our team. During these uncertain times, this position is currently a temporary part-time position with an opportunity for growth.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, detail oriented, multi-tasker, have excellent writing skills, a strong attention to detail, be a great team player, have excellent interpersonal skills and have a great attitude. Additional talents that we would love are: an energetic and positive personality, strong, creative, excited to have an opportunity to grow, and determined to succeed. Passion for the Fashion/Beauty/Lifestyle and agency/management experience a plus. The candidate must currently live in LA and not be in school.
The ideal candidate must have extremely strong computer and social media knowledge and understand how social media can be used for publicity influence. They should understand how to write press releases and pitch emails.
This position's interviewing and onboarding process will be done remotely. Once the stay at home order is lifted, this position will be in our Hollywood office. The position is flexible with potential for work from home days in the short and long term depending on circumstances.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Provide direct support to Owner and Creative Director
-Write drafts of pitches and press releases
-Assist Creative Director with projects such as design and social media accounts
-Maintain digital press kits and comprehensive client reports
-Heavy research and targeted list building
-Develop and maintain media contact lists and databases
-Monitor for print, online, broadcast and social media coverage for client brand accounts
-Maintain supply of client-related materials and documents
-Coordinate and prepare for internal and external meetings
-Pitch/interact with media as necessary
-Read daily, weekly, monthly and online publications to identify client-relevant media coverage, including competitive market and industry information
-Contribute to client brainstorms with creative ideas
Required Experience and skills
-1 year of experience working at an agency preferred (internship accepted)
-Bachelor's Degree in public relations or related field preferred
-Experience working with talent, brands, and media strongly preferred
-Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive
-Proficient in Muck Rack, Cision, and other research based programs
-Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills are a must
-Sincere interest in the evolving media landscape and emerging marketing techniques and platforms
-Professional and friendly people skills
-Outstanding organizational skills
-Proven ability to anticipate needs and be resourceful
-Punctuality and reliability
-Design skills a plus (Canva and/or Adobe programs)
-Wordpress and Wix skills a plus

We have a small team based in LA, working primarily for our office in Hollywood, with some time spent working remotely. We pride ourselves on our relationships and communications with our clients. We focus on building through community, collaboration, and networking opportunities.
Pay is hourly and rate is DOE
