Assistant - Strategic Communication Department - NYC

The Lede Company, a newly formed entertainment pr firm specializing in talent publicity in addition to strategic communications and brand pr, is looking for an assistant in NY for two of its SCD executives. We are seeking enthusiastic candidates who are extremely self-driven, detail oriented and have strong communication skills both written and verbal. Candidate must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while working carefully and conscientiously.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Service clients with digital press breaks
- Administrative duties for two executives (answering phones, scheduling, expenses, etc)
- Manage client requests and press requests in a timely manner
-Draft client press materials including press releases, pitches, bios, etc.
- Create and manage media lists making sure information is always accurate and up to date. Experience with Cision is a plus.
- Listen in on client calls and take detailed notes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in PR or communications
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Able to handle fast-paced PR environment
- Able to work well under pressure and take direction well
- Ability to follow through on all assignments to completion
- Proactively contribute to the team during brainstorms
- Strong attention to detail
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Strong knowledge and interest in the entertainment industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
