The Gersh Agency seeks a Director, of Public Relations, for the agency.
The job location is in Beverly Hills, CA .
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for planning, developing and implementing the agency's public relations and communications strategy, including media relations, branding, social media, and electronic and printed publications
• Establish and nurture positive relationships with the media
• Liaison with and answer all inquiries from media, individuals, and other organizations
• Research, write and distribute press releases to targeted media
• Use relationships to ensure Gersh has a presence at premieres and other important industry events
• Coordinate photo opportunities at all events
• Organize events including premiers, screenings, industry events and award shows
• Maintain and update information on the Company's website
• Demonstrate ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Passionate and knowledgeable about all things social media and can assist in building and executing a social media strategy for individual social platforms
• Responsible for day-to-day coverage of entertainment news on social accounts
• Responsible for planning, creation and execution of social media strategy for large-scale events, including award shows
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism or public relations
• 7+ years of demonstrated PR experience. Entertainment experience required.
• Strong written and communication skills
• Problem solving skills with a can-do attitude
• Ability to maintain confidentiality surrounding sensitive information
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills required, and the ability to establish rapport with employees and key partners at all levels
• Demonstrate ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
