Producer Trainee - Entry Level
The Cortez Brothers, Inc., an international commercial production company, is seeking a Producer Trainee to work directly with the Executive Producer on a longterm basis. This position helps oversee the physical production of TV and internet commercials, managing a roster of exceptionally talented advertising, film and TV directors. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about advertising, production, and multicultural filmmaking.
You must be an excellent multi-tasker willing to take initiative and solve production problems before they even occur. You'll need strong people skills, as you'll be dealing with Directors, Ad Agency Staff, Sales Reps and Producers on a daily basis. You'll be in charge of administrative duties, including basic office and production bookkeeping, scheduling and tracking multilingual conference calls, and staying on top of job traffic and productions occurring both in the United States and internationally. Excellent speaking and writing skills in English is a must; fluent or semi-fluent Spanish is needed for day-to-day communication with overseas offices.
Previous employees in this position have gone on to produce and manage award-winning advertising campaigns, feature films and TV series all around the globe. This is not a position for directors, actors or writers themselves, but for someone who enjoys wrangling and growing the careers of all of them.
Job Requirements: MAC and Apple-based software; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Docs; social media experience incl. Instagram and Twitter. Adobe Photoshop, Video Editing experience (not required, but definitely a bonus). Familiarity with QuickBooks, Showbiz and/or Movie Magic Budgeting, or a strong desire to learn, is a plus. SPANISH FLUENCY IS AN ABSOLUTE NECESSITY; PLEASE INDICATE LEVEL OF FLUENCY IN YOUR COVER LETTER OR RESUME.
Salary: Competitive. Health insurance after 60 to 90 days.
