PRODUCTION INTERN
Job Type: Internship
Job Location: SoHo, New York, NY
The Colony, an awarded film production company located in SoHo, New York, is seeking a production intern for the winter/spring 2019 period. Representing a roster of talented directors we produce a diverse range of content including VR experiences, commercials and film. We work closely with our sister company Afterparty VFX - a full service design, animation and VFX studio.
The production intern will work with producers and office staff on pre-production, production and office duties and will have the opportunity to learn about all aspects of working in film production and in post production as many of our projects span both areas. A minimum of 2 days per week will be considered, though should you seek a full-time internship - Monday to Friday 9-6pm so that the internship is of full value to you in terms of training - this will also be considered. The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate of a TV/Film/Video Production or Communications course who seeks to gain valuable, hands on experience in the industry. If you are still completing studies and have time available, we can also discuss what might work for you.
Skills requirements:

Excellent written and verbal skills
Strong attention to detail
Problem solving, independent attitude and strong work ethic
Computer Literate: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Photoshop and Premiere is a plus
Knowledge of Mac-based workflows and OS
Ability to upload videos, make dropbox links and maintain organization of digital assets as needed
Ability to manage social media profiles - Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

• Maintaining office appearance and supply levels
• Making office runs and deliveries
• Directing incoming phone calls and greeting clients
• Coordinating schedules for production
• Coordinating bids and budgets
• Recording project expenses and reconciling costs
