Foundation 50/50 (Texas 2 Split) Raffle Supevisor
Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation, the charitable arm of the Texas Rangers Baseball Club, is seeking a dependable, enthusiastic, highly motivated, and hardworking individual to manage the day-to-day operations of the Texas 2 Split 50/50 Raffle Program. Each home game, one lucky fan will win half of the net proceeds, with the remaining proceeds benefitting the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation and their mission to improving the lives of children in need in our community.
Job Description
• Coordinate the daily operations of Texas 2 Split 50/50 Raffle Program
• Assist in the recruiting, hiring, and training of a new and returning hires
• Provide direct supervision of seasonal employees
• Coordinate pre-game duties, including but not limited to, setting up raffle technology, assigning selling locations for team members, preparing kiosks and equipment, facilitating pre shift meetings
• Coordinate all end-of-game duties, including but not limited to cash drops, drawing of raffle winner, notifying scoreboard and Guest Relations, updating website, e-mailing nightly reports, etc.
• Serve as moderator between team members, Pointstreak and the Rangers Foundation
• Maintain accurate records and run reports as needed
• Responsible for creating and distributing work schedules to team members
• Submit payroll status changes as needed
• Address performance problems through the use of the corrective action process
• Become familiar with company policies in order to properly enforce them
• Produce creative daily fundraising incentives for team members
• Maintain all 50/50 Raffle equipment, including charging handhelds and printers, basic cleaning of kiosks, etc.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
• GED/ High School Diploma required
• Must be able to work all Rangers home games, including exhibition, regular season and any potential post season games
• Intermediate knowledge of mobile devices and tablets with ability to troubleshoot
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong customer service skill, prior customer service or sales experience is a plus
• Goal oriented, able to meet and exceed daily budgets
• Must be able to work efficiently and independently in a fast paced environment
• Must be able to work irregular hours including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• (listed elsewhere)Must be comfortable working in inclement weather (Globe Life Park in Arlington is an outdoor ballpark)
• Basic understanding of the etiquette and timing of baseball is a plus
• Must be comfortable standing for long periods of time, walking long distances, and climbing up/down stairs
• May be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit
• Must be able lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
• Must be able to pass a drug test, background check and credit check
