Full Time Job
Our Staff Accountant works closely with our Senior Accountant on monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting/finance administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
include but are not limited to:
• General Ledger
• Manages fixed assets database and prepare monthly depreciation/amortization journal entries
• Accounting for prepaid assets, accrued expenses/liabilities and respective monthly amortization entries and account reconciliations
• Prepares monthly reconciliation of department purchase cards
• Set-ups vendor within Great Plains system based on approved information received from Accounting Manager
• Performs daily bank activities, weekly/monthly bank and investment account reconciliations, and foreign exchange translation
• Maintains rent leveling and capital lease schedules
• Creates journal entries as necessary to perform responsibilities
• Assists in coordination of month end close
• Administers, tracks, and files all journal entries and month-end reconciliations
• Freelance Payroll
• Administers weekly freelance payroll paperwork and acts as first point of contact on related matters
• Ensures the timely submission of freelance timesheets and the accuracy of new hire start paperwork to expedite the processing of the payroll through third party vendor
• Other
• Assists in corporate financial reporting objectives including yearly audit and tax filings
• Performs clerical duties such as filing and copying
• Other duties, ad hoc analysis and requests as assigned
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business with an Accounting focus
• 2 years current experience with major accounting system application – Great Plains preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Well-developed communication, analytical and organizational skills
• Entertainment and/or related experience preferred
• Must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
