Senior Accountant (GL)
Our Senior Accountant assists in overseeing month-end close process, provide key analysis, and implement other key projects as instructed.
Responsibilities
include but are not limited to:
• General Ledger
• Manage fixed assets database (FAS Fixed Asset System) and review monthly depreciation/amortization journal entries
• Accounting for prepaid assets, accrued expenses/liabilities and respective monthly amortization entries and account reconciliations
• Review daily bank activities, weekly/monthly bank and investment account reconciliations, and foreign exchange translation
• Maintain reconciliation over intercompany transactions and balances.
• Review and assist in managing all activities and journal entries of Staff Accountant
• Maintain rent leveling and capital lease schedules
• Create journal entries as necessary to perform responsibilities
• Assist in coordination of month end close
• Prepare trial balance upload entry and files for parent company system
• Reporting Packages / Analysis / Other
• Preparation of monthly/quarterly financial reporting schedules
• Prepare quarterly analysis schedules for parent company
• Prepare various projection analysis, including weekly cash balance forecasting
• Prepare quarterly and semi-annual interest wire payments for our senior debt lenders
• Assist in corporate financial reporting objectives including yearly audit and tax filings
• Assist in the integration with new parent company (public)
• Other duties, ad hoc analysis and requests as assigned
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business with an Accounting and/or Finance focus
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience
• Entertainment and/or related work experience preferred
• Must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Must have the ability to complete all entries and duties timely to meet reporting deadlines.
• Must have the ability to provide work free of errors (highly accurate, without frequent revisions)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (vlookup, pivot tables)
• Familiarity with Great Plains or FRX Reporting a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with Oracle (Bridge)
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong communication skills, including ability to write proficient emails to upper/mid-management.
• Strong organization skills, including using task lists and project planning schedules
