Full Time Job
Tennis Channel is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Advertising Sales Assistant. This individual supports our Account Executives and Operations Team in managing all post sales activities from advertising orders to client needs and requirements
Responsibilities
include but are not limited to:
• Inputs campaigns, resolves discrepancies, preemptions and the creation of quarterly flow charts
• Proactively solves or prevents campaign issues
• Schedules special segments, program supplier units and added-value elements
• Collaborates with Ad Operations to review and steward campaigns
• Inputs orders into sales order entry system and manages the campaign to deliver promised impressions of all West Coast orders
• Pulls and analyzes research requests, such as inventory forecasts and Adviews, compiling competitive spending to provide accurate data to sales reps
• Pulls accurate inventory forecasts and handle excess inventory and oversell situations
• Regularly updates all client/buyer/planner contact information
• Reads internet/news/industry trades for updates and communicates to sales executives
• Provides daily customer support and service both over the phone and by email, while adhering to the highest standards of professional etiquette
• Interacts with other internal departments, mainly including, finance, traffic and marketing
• Assists Sales Planners with liability tracking
• Maintains account/client details and database
• Uses computer software, including Broadway and the MS Office applications
• Performs various clerical and administrative tasks
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 1-2 years professional experience
• Experience with an Advertising Agency or Network as an intern is a plus
• Proficient in Excel, with strong mathematical skills
• Well versed with other MS Office applications
• Knowledge of Broadway is a plus
• Must be a quick learner with strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication, both written and oral, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task while paying attention to detail, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to effectively handle a large volume of work while being flexible and receptive to changing priorities
• Comfortable in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Comfortable taking initiative, being self-sufficient and resourceful
• Able to work independently and as a team member focusing on the overall success of the team, the clients and the company
• Passion for Tennis and sports overall is a plus
