Responsibilities
Role Summary/Purpose
This role will provide Human Resource support to NBC4 (KNBC) and Telemundo 52 (KVEA) to facilitate growth in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment. This role is responsible for addressing day to day transactional as well as strategic Human Resource initiatives.
Basic Functions/Responsibilities
Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Provide daily HR support to clients for both stations including employee relations, union relations, staffing and recruitment, performance management, and compliance with HR policies and procedures for represented and non-represented staff.
• Develop strong professional relationships with employees & managers to serve as a first line resource for their needs, and offering suggestions. Collaborate proactively with HR Management to identify possible solutions or actions needed.
• Manage assigned projects and workflows that contribute to a stream-lined and highly responsive Human Resources function.
• Act as a resource for the KNBC/KVEA HR team in areas such as HR operations, corporate HR programs, and company policies and procedures; advise and tactically implement on behalf of station clients.
• Provide support with managing and helping to deliver key HR initiatives possibly including: engagement surveys, internships/mentor development and staff training/orientations.
• Contribute to efforts to build a world class employee culture through employee relations activities such as Fun Committee events.
• Provide analytical support and metrics reporting that illustrate key HR initiatives
• Provide support on annual required posting and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications
/Requirements
• Bachelors Degree
• Minimum 3 years relevant HR experience, preferably as a generalist

• Solid written and verbal communication skills a must, including the ability to interface with others inside and outside of the company in a positive and professional manner
• Must be able to work independently with the ability to juggle priorities and manage time to effectively meet deadlines
• Ability to and be comfortable working in both a corporate environment as well as a operations environment
• Ability to work in a diverse, and fast paced environment
