Essential Job Functions
-Primary job duties include developing job workflows, coordinating schedule and technical specifications with client as well within the facility, and actualizing billing in a timely manner as job completes.
-Facilitate the execution of projects as they enter the facility: conference calls with client(s) as needed and/or formal pre-production workflow meetings to establish information about project before it formally begins.
-Clients: Develop and maintain relationships/communicate necessary scheduling & billing information
-Billing: actualizing billing/work orders; communicating necessary information and instructions to billing department regarding pre-billing, invoicing, and charging clients.
-Manage scheduling of jobs internally using the proper facility resources ranging from dailies, finishing, audio mixing, digital media, duplication, and DI.
-Communicate effectively and efficiently with off-site branches of the company.
-Facilitating communication to appropriate parties throughout the facility (on site or off) to maintain that all jobs are completed effectively and efficiently.
-Troubleshooting client issues/complaints as they arise. Approaching and involving appropriate members of engineering/techs when necessary.
-Communicating necessary job information to night/off hours management for late night, over night & dailies jobs.
-Taking phone calls and emails off hours as needed on a job-by-job basis.
-Ensuring proper services when clients are supervising sessions within the facility.
-Managing traffic of elements specific to projects: making sure elements are logged into Filemaker and moved to appropriate locations in the database.
Requirements/Education/Experience
-At least 2-4 years post production industry experience
-Knowledge of film & tape dailies workflows, SD/HD formats and frame rates
-Knowledge of online finishing systems: Avid DS, Symphony Nitris, Final Cut Pro, IQ, Pablo, Scratch
-Experience with television network (broadcast), film festival, and feature distribution specifications (tape, film, and file based) as well as physical tape deliveries
-Knowledge of tape formats, frame rates, color spaces, audio configurations, and proper spec terminology to communicate properly on written duplication work orders
-Knowledge of digital media tools, file types, codecs, storage, workflows, and systems
-Knowledge of proper industry terms and labeling conventions for tape and element labels
Other Skills/Abilities
-Knowledge of professional film, video and digital cinema cameras (i.e. Arri, Sony, Panavision, RED, Phantom, Canon DSLRs. Etc)
-Basic computer skills (experience with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, etc)
-Use of Adobe Acrobat, FileMaker Pro, ScheduALL and Citrix for remote login.
Physical Demands
-Extensive computer use (typing, etc)
-Physical movement of tapes, film reels, hard drives and other assorted elements throughout the facility
-Walking throughout the facility (often between multiple floors/up & down stairs)
