Tastemade is seeking a seasoned Public Relations and Communications professional to join our team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and is excited about the opportunity to strengthen the visibility of the Tastemade brand. In this role you will drive strategy and execution of consumer business, studio business, programming, and leverage current industry events and news trends to create media opportunities.
What you'll do:
• Develop strategy and execute communications around Tastemade's content offerings
• Drive positive coverage of Tastemade in consumer, trade and business publications (across various platforms)
• Develop creative and unique press events or activations to influence consumer behavior and drive results
• Manage communications for Tastemade by authoring and editing press releases, managing set visits, scheduling press junkets, building and expanding relationships with journalists, working with talent representatives and talent relations, implementing screening/reviews strategy and assisting with the management of agencies
• Lead publicity efforts for Tastemade talent including interview prep, drafting talking points, media training and related planning for interviews, appearances and events
• Serve as the liaison internally to meet Public Relations/Publicity deadlines
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure all key global product and brand focuses are effectively and efficiently communicated
• Lead development and coordination of executive briefing materials and country-level information for key international trips, events and press
• Ensure our key messaging, narratives and FAQs scale to international teams and spokespeople
• Prepare key messaging and create press opportunities for members of the management team
What you'll bring:
• Have 6 years of experience in PR, with a background in television and film publicity, and/or experience at an entertainment entity (corporate division or streaming company)
• Experience working for a Publisher, Social, Digital, or Media company is a plus.
• Have excellent media relationships, with journalists and other media influencers
• Excellent command of language and strong interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with colleagues locally and internationally
• Self Starter who can own project internally from start to finish
• Ability to effectively manage relationships with talent and talent reps
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to research, assess and access resources as well as understand learnings and insights
• Possess a keen understanding of new and traditional media.
• Experience executing campaigns across multiple disciplines (including but not limited to Corporate, Social, Sales)
• Have experience managing agencies and/or experience working at an agency
