What you'll do:
• Line Producer manages the budget of a motion picture. Alternatively, or in addition, they may manage the day to day physical aspects of the film production, serving a role similar to the unit production manager.
• Ideate, write, and coordinate video shoots across all of the brand's digital platforms.
• Work closely with Programming, Production, 3rd Party Crews, and internal brand team to create original, high-quality content based on programming needs.
• Manage multiple creative assignments in a hands-on fashion during all stages of development, from ideation through post-production.
• Partner with the Production team to ensure all logistics, budgets, and deadlines are met through post-production.
• Manage scheduling, coordination, workflow, and deadlines for multiple projects and shoots simultaneously.
• Apply technical, editorial, and creative storytelling expertise during all stages of production.
• Work with internal Leadership to allocate resources and develop budgets for upcoming and proposed projects
• Ensure all staff and production teams are contracted and paid on time
• Supervise and negotiate rates with crew, equipment vendors, and vehicles suppliers
• Tracking expenses of existing and ongoing projects, and ensuring they come in on/under budget
• Work cross-functionally to ensure all proper finance and expense procedures are followed correctly
• Negotiating with contributors and locations to determine fair compensation
• Work with PMs & PCs to confirm all featured contributors/talent are properly released
• Ensure risk assessments are completed on each project, and that health and safety are a priority on set
• Have oversight over any overtime or meal penalty requests (they must go through you)
• Continually update budgets and reassess needs on a weekly basis for all assigned verticals
• Ensure all Production & Post deliverables are effectively communicated to PMs and PCs
• Read over all insurance policies and keep in mind throughout productions to ensure compliance
• If there is an incident or accident on one of your productions, you will ensure that a proper incident report form has been filled out, and submitted in a timely manner through the proper channels
• Keep post production costs within budget by ensuring edit schedules stay on track
• Manage team well being and morale by checking in with them on a regular basis
• Work with Programming Coordinator and Production Manager to keep track of all expenses
• Control production schedules and keep EIC informed as to progress and/or potential pitfalls or overspend
What you'll bring:
• 8 years experience in production
• Positive and encouraging attitude
• Problem-solving mindset, with acumen for negotiations
• Development and Post Production experience a plus
• Passion for budgets and a desire to find cost-effective solutions
• Dedication to rooting out issues and finding smart solutions
• Experience working in a high volume, fast-paced environment
• Experience working on both original and branded content
