Full Time Job
The General Maintenance Technician will perform repairs and preventive maintenance in and around Tropicana Field.
Essential Job Functions
• Perform minor electrical such as replacing light bulbs, ballasts, fixtures, timers and switches
• Repair swing doors, roll-up doors, latches and hasps (locking mechanism)
• Perform minor plumbing such as toilet, faucet, garbage disposal repairs
• Perform minor drywall and carpentry to repair damage and update facilities
• Paint outdoor and indoor surfaces made of all materials such as wood, concrete, or brick
• Utilizes basic hand and power tools required for general maintenance.
• Understands preventative maintenance process and other maintenance records.
• Maintains tools, work spaces, equipment, property exterior and grounds to assure cleanliness.
• Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, with frequent interruptions or distractions and within tight deadlines
Qualifications Required
• Possess a valid Florida Driver's License
• Have vast knowledge of different maintenance equipment and tools
• Previous experience in maintenance required unless recent tech graduate
• Team player and can collaborate with other departments in the organization
• Ability to deal effectively with co-workers, company personnel, and other consultants/ vendors
• Ability to work flexible-long hours, including weekends and holidays during the baseball season and depending on various Facilities project deadlines
Core Competencies
• General facilities maintenance skills are required
• Basic Computer Skills are desired
• Good organizational skills
• Proactive, self-starter, goal oriented, and ability to work independently
• Maintain positive attitude and composure
• Collaborative Team Player
Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Technical training school (with emphasis on HVAC, electrical, carpentry and/or plumbing ) is preferred but not required
