Part Time Unpaid Internship
The Tampa Bay Rays are seeking an outstanding intern for the 2023 season to support different responsibilities.
Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Assist with various live interactive activities, promotions, entertainment, and fan contests during Rays spring and regular season games and events.
• Manage live show elements (anthem singer, in-game host, special guests, etc.)
• Book and handle communication and game day logistics with color guards and American Sign Language Interpreters.
• Contribute creative ideas for executions of in-game elements.
• Process and manage website processing with scoreboard message
• Fulfill sponsorship contractual elements including first pitches, presentations and in-game element executions and keep track of promotions for sponsors.
• Create and update game day folders and contact sheets for game day staff.
• Assist with management of Ray Team, an interactive entertainment hype squad (schedules, promotional items, uniforms, etc.).
• Any other duties assigned by the Game Presentation Department.
Qualifications:
• 4-year degree or pursuit toward degree
• Outgoing and friendly personality.
• Takes initiative and is comfortable in front of crowds
• Prior experience in live entertainment (preferably in sports).
• Strong organizational and inter-personal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Knowledge of baseball and entertainment.
• Computer skills (Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs)
The following are brief internship guidelines:
• Candidates must be available for the entire duration of the internship (February – October).
• Must be available for normal office hours, game days and events as assigned
