Full Time Job
The Tampa Bay Rays are adding a member to our Athletic Training staff. This person should be knowledgeable, thoughtful, energetic, and have a passion to create the best player care experience possible. This full-time, minor league Athletic Trainer will be dedicated to our Minor League facility in Port Charlotte, FL and will have responsibilities year-round. Those responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Minor League Rehab Coordinator with treatment and rehabilitation for injured players. The position will require daily interaction with team Physician(s), Minor League Medical Coordinator, in addition to staff/front office interaction and player care responsibilities. Duties include, but are not limited to, the prevention and care of injuries, coordinating & facilitating physician appointments, proper medical record keeping within EMR system, reporting procedures and various administrative duties as assigned. Reporting date would begin January 2020.
Qualifications:
• NATA-BOC Certified in good standing
• Eligible for FL state licensure
• CPR/AED certification required
• Previous baseball experience preferred, but not required
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Athletic Training or related field
• Spanish fluency is a PLUS!
