The nationally-ranked Bandier Program for Recording and Entertainment Industries at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position to start August 19, 2019. The successful candidate will teach classes on the modern music industry, ideally with particular focus on the industry's cutting-edge digital aspects, such as streaming, data, and social media marketing.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have significant professional experience in the music business, ideally in sales and distribution to digital services, or as a digital/social media marketer. Regardless of background, candidates will demonstrate:
• potential to be an excellent teacher
• potential to be a thought leader in the digital music industry and become a well-known expert
• communication skills and cross-cultural abilities with diverse groups of students, colleagues and community members.
A Master's degree or higher is preferred.
