Job Description
Sure Sound and Lighting is seeking an Event Warehouse Coordinator to join our team. The Event Warehouse Coordinator will provide operational support for SSL event assets to ensure a successful event experience. This role is responsible for overseeing inventory control and warehousing needs to support our operations team. Ideal Candidates must be self-motivated individuals, proficient in time management, have the availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, have exceptional organizational and planning skills, and have an interest to work with all types of people and events.
There is never a typical day in the event business. We work with several clients producing all types of events including festivals, fairs, concerts, and any other type of event a client needs help with. To ensure that we exceed our client's expectations, we must be prepared to jump into any situation to solve the issue and make sure the event runs as smoothly as possible.
This is a full-time, salaried position with year-round work. During peak season, a typical work may exceed 40-hours. This is a physical position, and you will be expected to lift heavy items and sometimes work outdoors in the extreme weather conditions that the Nebraska climate provides.
Job Duties
• Organize and keep an accurate inventory of all equipment and assets owned and/or rented by SSL
• Organize and manage the SSL warehouse
• Pulling, cleaning, repairing, and prepping equipment for upcoming events
• Managing the return of rented equipment to suppliers, making sure equipment is returned complete and any damage or missing items are reported before it being returned
• Responsible for keeping the work area clean and well organized
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Wash, sanitize, repair, replace, inventory returning equipment
Qualifications and Skills
• Excellent leadership skills
• Knowledge of the Entertainment Industry
• Logical and mechanical mind
• Self-motivated individual with great time management skills
• Valid Nebraska Driver's License
• Ability to lift 60 pounds or more
• Fast learner that takes pride in their work
• Be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to operate heavy machinery including a forklift.
Additional Information
• Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
• May work in drastic temperature climates
• Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
