Full Time Job
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a fast-paced output of videos, thumbnails and graphical elements for the content pipeline
- Shoot videos using Canon DSLR and Zoom audio setup
- Import footage and manage set up of projects in post production including syncing, stacking, file organization (Adobe Premiere)
- Perform basic edits of projects and insert graphic overlays and templates into projects as needed before sending to lead editor
- Update online content portals including blogs, Wordpress site, and YouTube page.
- Create high quality presentation slides, and infographics as needed
- Act as a creative source on designed elements
- Collaborate on scripts and education themed content materials
- Stay current on new technology and platforms. Experiment with new tools and workflows
- Manage intern(s) and general office needs
Skills:
- Must know Adobe Premiere Pro (or if strong fit with other requirements, multiple other non-linear editing system)
- Must have production experience shooting (preferably with DSLR Canon cameras and ZOOM recorder), basic understanding of lighting and lenses, some Photoshop.
- Must be comfortable with both entertaining and serious academic content (trigonometry, grammar, essay writing, the gamut).
- Must have at minimum a working knowledge of After Effects and be a quick study. Our editor does graphics in AE for every project.
- Wordpress, Power Point knowledge experience a plus.
- Must have an eye for design.
- Those with a strong academic background or a particular interest in education, test prep, or being a part of a start up are encouraged to apply!
- Experience in tutoring, high level of past academic performance, excellent standardized test scores, and proofreading skills also a plus, but not necessary.
- Must have Bachelor's degree.
- Film school graduates or independent video creators/filmmakers preferred.
- Those without a reel or link to creative portfolio/work will not be considered.
