Super Festivals is looking for a Director of Event Sales & Sponsorships to oversee our growing portfolio of pop culture events. Our portfolio currently includes the GalaxyCon family of events in Raleigh NC, Minneapolis MN, Richmond VA, and Louisville KY. Super Festivals is located in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
The Director of Event Sales & Sponsorships will oversee the sales and sponsorship efforts of the company, including exhibitor booth sales,
The Role:
• Finds and closes new business while building strong relationships with clients and leading advertising agencies
• Performs personal sales, achieve personal sales targets, leads the sales team by direct example
• Develops a strategy for the sales team and sets quarterly and annual revenue goals
• Develops fully integrated, multi-platform programs that help partners increase business and brand loyalty by leveraging the emotional power of live experiences, with measurable results.
• Motivates and Manages one inbound Vendor Coordinator to achieve exhibition sales goals and one outbound Account Executive to sell premiere placements and sponsorships
• Identifies research, platforms, and solutions that would help the team achieve its goals
• Accountable for all team members to meet and exceed sales goals by providing training, motivation, development, support, inspiration and coaching
• Develops sales AE's to progress along sales career path
• Ensures that each event timeline is met for all sponsorship responsibilities as it relates to event production and operations
• Leverages Copper CRM system for managing sales activities, inter-department coordination, and more
• Provides input for marketing materials and literature
• Customizes pitch decks for every national pitch, and oversees and assists with the proposals sent by AE's to local and regional brands
Qualifications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High energy, able to work a non-traditional schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays
• Experience selling high profile sponsorships in the entertainment industry through special events, tradeshows, corporate sponsorships, media, and/or digital media
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to build new business relationships
• Able to oversee a team of sales representatives
• Creativity, flexibility and initiative
• Highly organized, strong attention to detail
• Commitment to excellence
• Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial enviornment
• Minimum 3-5 years of relative business experience
• Computer proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, & Slides
