Position General Summary: The Assistant Director of Corporate Partnerships is an important leadership role that is charged with being the second-in-command sales leader on the Corporate Partnerships team at Sundance Institute. The Corporate Partnership team is responsible for $13 million dollars in contributed and earned revenue, representing 34% of the Institutes' total revenue. The position reports directly to the head of the department has one direct manager report and must collaborate closely with Park City-based counterparts who oversee our partner activations and strategy across all initiatives.
Goals:
• Collaborates with the department head to manage sales strategies and tactics across all Institute programs, including Sundance Film Festival sponsorships as well as Fellowships, Granting Funds and other support. .
• Identifies, cultivates, solicits, negotiates and secures new corporate partners to support the Institute's programs financially.
• Has a proven track record of selling and closing new business at no less than $2M annually. Minimum 8 years of sales experience; preferably in experiential marketing.
• Can multi-task to manage the sales cycle from start to finish: create sales materials, handle the pitch and account management, while also being a strong partner to activation colleagues.
• Collaborates with program areas and development colleagues to identify sales opportunities and build customized corporate partnership models for each program.
• Supports department head in customizing program specific sales pitches and pricing to grow revenue.

• Partnering: Facilitates partnerships with companies, as well as internal colleagues critical to our work (other members of corporate partnerships team, program heads and development colleagues)
• Team Leadership: Empowers team members, manages direct reports positively and provides guidance to help them achieve their goals; brings new ideas to improve overall sales process and results
