POSITION OVERVIEW
The Festival Coordinator, Logistics is charged with coordinating equipment, uniforms, and logistics for staff and volunteer check-in during the Sundance Film Festival.
Working closely under the direction of Festival Manager, Logistics, the Festival Coordinator, Logistics supports Sundance Institute's commitment to fulfilling a successful and positive in person Festival experience for all artists and patrons.
This full-time, temporary position works full time out of our Park City, Utah office from December 8, 2021, through February 11, 2022, with some opportunities to work from home. Additionally, this position may be lodged in Park City during the January Film Festival and will be required to work extended hours, including some evenings and weekends to meet deadlines and respond to on-call needs as assigned.
Top priorities include but are not limited to…
• Planning and implementing logistical needs to ensure functionality of the offsite logistics and uniform room during the Festival.
• Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders on office equipment, design technical needs, setup, and teardown.
• Staffing the logistics and uniform room and staff and volunteer check-in to support the team and assigned volunteers.
• Helping to oversee volunteers, including selecting and training highly effective volunteers, providing direction, feedback, and support to ensure volunteers understand responsibilities and are effective in their roles, and delegating work appropriately
• Inputting data into the database daily to ensure information is accurate.
• Maintaining and tracking inventory of various equipment such as radios, cell phones, and corporate incentive items.
• Acting as a department contact to field questions from internal and external sources.
• Providing oversight of the uniform room during the Festival and providing direction to volunteers.
• Providing frequent updates to internal stakeholders on equipment and incentive inventory.
• Testing functionality, labeling, and programming radios prior to disbursement.
• Troubleshooting logistical issues and escalating to the manager as necessary.
• Assisting with billing, reconciling, and submitting reimbursements for cell phone accounts as directed.
• Programming all Festival phone numbers into each Festival provided phone and testing for proper functioning.
• Constructing and printing the Sundance Yellow Pages and the Special Theatre Operations (STOP) team contacts.
• Ensuring both the logistics and uniform rooms are clean, organized, secure, and safe at all times.
• Completing a written wrap report with suggestions for improvement.
You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license and successful completion of DMV background check.
• Experience in event logistics, operations, or related.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with a variety of people.
• Excellent organizational skills including ability to self-manage a work schedule.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Working knowledge of databases along with proficiency in Google Products preferred.
• Knowledge of Park City and Salt Lake City a plus.
