Employment dates: Monday, November 4, 2019 thru Friday, February 21, 2020
Pay rate: $17.75 per hour
Considerations: This position works full time out of our Park City, UT office. May be lodged in Park City during the January Film Festival. Required to work extended hours, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet deadlines. Must be willing and available to respond to on-call needs as assigned. A high level of mobility is required as well as an ability to drive safely in winter road conditions.
Position Summary: Manages the operations for the Sundance Film Festival transportation shuttle stops, signage and assigned volunteers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develops training materials, conducts trainings, creates schedules and assigns volunteer shifts.
• Conducts pre and post Festival inventory for transportation supplies, equipment and signage, ensuring all items are returned to storage or vendors by contract deadlines.
• Organizes and hangs all Festival transportation and parking signage, supervising some installation by volunteers.
• Determines lighting, signage and safety needs for shuttle stops and adjacent walking paths.
• Responsible for safe and clean shuttle stops, including snow/ice removal and recycling/garbage removal plan for shuttle stops, working with Works Crew Coordinator.
• Monitor patio heaters at shuttle stops, calling Works Crew/Production for service.
• Updates transportation documents and training manuals.
• Manages 50-55 Transportation volunteers,includes selecting and training highly effective volunteers, providing direction, feedback, and support to ensure volunteers understand responsibilities and are effective in their roles, and delegates appropriate and meaningful work.
• Oversees all shuttle stop setup and teardowns, includes directing the works crew coordinator who assists with this work.
• Provides direction to parking attendants during special screenings and events as requested by Transportation Manager.
• Provides support to Transportation Manager and other duties as assigned.
• Conducts evaluations of volunteers and submits within deadline.
• Completes a comprehensive written wrap report as directed.
Position Requirements:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license and successful completion of DMV background check.
• 3 years of event transportation, production, operations or related experience.
• Leadership skills with a background that includes managing people.
• Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written.
• Strong interpersonal and professional skills required to work effectively with a variety of people.
• Excellent organizational skills including self management of work schedule.
• Must be able to maintain confidential information.
• Ability to work nights and weekends around events and key deadlines.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Education
, Experience and Skills:
• Working knowledge of databases along with proficiency in Google Products.
• Knowledge of Park City.
