Employment dates: Wednesday, October 23, 2019 thru Friday, February 21, 2020
Pay rate: $17.75 per hour
Considerations: This position works full time out of our Park City, UT office. May be lodged in Park City during the January Film Festival. Required to work extended hours, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet deadlines. Must be willing and available to respond to on-call needs as assigned. A high level of mobility is required as well as an ability to drive safely in winter road conditions.
Position Summary: Drives the pre Festival planning and implementation to ensure successful daily operations and positive audience experiences within assigned theaters.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Updates and develops site plans, equipment needs, volunteer staffing, sponsor activation, etc. for assigned theaters. Manages relationships, including developing and maintaining good rapport while providing timely communications with theater owners.
• Organizes, develops, and delivers training for volunteers at designated theaters.
• Provides ongoing and accurate information pre-festival and during festival, via phone and email, to volunteers and provides timely responses to their inquiries.
• Trains, provides supervision, creates schedules, and ensures evaluations are completed for assigned volunteers.
• Oversees the setup and configuration of assigned theaters to meet predetermined standards.
• Tracks pre and post inventory of all theater operations equipment.
• Ensures assigned theaters conduct on time performances, optimizes waitlist sales/seating, etc. to ensure excellent customer service.
• Addresses any logistical, personnel, or audience issues at theaters immediately and escalates issues to manager as needed.
• Documents theater configurations with photos and diagrams.
• Oversees the load-in and load-out of assigned theaters.
• Performs pre and post walkthroughs to ensure each theater is ready for their public opening and are returned to their original set-up prior to the festival.
• Writes a comprehensive written wrap report as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license and successful completion of DMV background check.
• 3 years operational planning and implementation experience or related.
• Leadership skills with a background that includes managing people.
• Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written.
• Strong interpersonal and professional skills required to work effectively with a variety of people.
• Excellent organizational skills including self management of work schedule.
• Must be able to maintain confidential information.
• Able to mitigate conflict and facilitate positive customer relations.
• Ability to work nights and weekends around events and key deadlines.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Education
, Experience and Skills:
• Working knowledge of databases along with proficiency in Google Products.
• Experience facilitating trainings for large groups.
